'Trapped in a Dreadful Dream': Relatives of Unaccounted For Teens Await News After Alpine Blaze

The relatives of young people unaccounted for after a deadly fire at a venue in a Swiss ski resort are enduring an excruciating period of uncertainty for confirmed information and pleading for any details about their loved ones via social media.

The fire ripped through the a popular bar in the alpine resort, located in the mountains of the Valais region, in the small hours of January 1st. Verified footage show the roof structure being engulfed in flames as beverages with fireworks are raised in celebration.

Emergency services have indicated that it could take days if not weeks to identify the those who perished of the disaster, which claimed the lives of 40 people and hurt another 119. Authorities noted on the latest update that 113 of the injured have been accounted for, with efforts ongoing to identify the other six.

In the waiting period, families and friends have been posting on online platforms to request clues about their friends who were in attendance that night.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Unaccounted For

The fate of Swiss national Arthur Brodard, sixteen, are currently unknown, according to an appeal from his parent.

Teenage sportsman Emanuele Galeppini, sixteen, was last heard from around the turn of the new year on December 31st, his father said.
