The Initial Xbox Game Pass Games of 2026 Show Xbox Remains Committed.
In numerous discussions, commentators persist in tolling the death bells for Microsoft's gaming division. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a relatively obscure console. Xbox fan sites have started writing on PS5 topics unprecedentedly. 2025 was complete chaos for the Xbox ecosystem. But if we're going solely off the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it becomes clear that Xbox remains determined to draw people in with strong games on its key platform.
The Immediate Additions
The duo of games you can play right now today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's deserving of attention.
Major Titles on the Horizon
Starting January 13th, the platform will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that deviates from typical Ubisoft design with a space-faring criminal escapade. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, hailed in past assessments as "the perfect cocktail of horror and action."
Compelling Indie Titles
However, the more modest titles coming to Game Pass soon deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike that is incredibly fun, becomes available next week — and it merits a playthrough whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.
The British post-apocalyptic game from last year might get its hooks in you remarkably quickly.
Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.
A Robust Selection of Games
Ultimately, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, and they don't represent massive exclusive blockbusters that are the sole reason for the service in the first place. But Microsoft's additions here are exceptionally strong. The lineup provides a solid mix of older titles you may have skipped and fairly new titles that lacked the recognition they were due initially — rendering them excellent choices to get a second chance on Game Pass.
Be prepared to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
